Bali
Recommended Dive Sites
Amed
- From
the beach, Amed offers
an excellent site for
training dives. It has a
flat bottom lagoon for
instruction and a coral
reef only 5 minutes swim
away. This location is
highly recommended for
introductory dives. By
boat, Amed has a nice
wall dive just a few
minutes away. It is fun,
easy dive for everyone
Ceningan
- Starts off with a
slope of resident large
schooling sweet lips and
climaxes with a steep
wall drop with soft
coral growth, unlimited
depth, good visibility,
and abundant fish life.
Gili
Tepekong : Just
offshore from Candi Dasa
is tiny Tepekong, a
little outcrop that
offers some spectacular
diving. the corals wall
is steep, the water is
cold, and the current
can be strong. Only
recommend for
experienced divers.
Lembongan
Offers
more challenging diving,
strong current and
promises good visibility
with lot's of marine
life especially it is
the home of sweet lips
with dramatic underwater
coralsand terrain
highlighted by triving
reefs and abundant soft
corals, including many
of the more exiting
ones.
Menjangan
is a small island of the
coast of Bali on the
northwest side that is
reserved as a National
Park. This island has
many different points to
dive from depending on
the divers skill and
objectives. One site
includes a bed of sea
snakes and resident
sharks. The tiny
ajoining island 120 km
north west of Denpasar
accessible by boat, only
30 minutes from the
mainland. This area is
suitable for all season
diving where magnificent
underwater vistas will
surprise even the most
seasoned diver.
Nusa
Penida Island
Is
small island the south
coast of Bali. It's
contains variety of
sites suitable to the
divers skill and
objectives. The drift
diving is particularly
recommended to see some
of the best marine life
in Bali. One dive starts
in a bat cave then ends
in a fast drift dive.
Padang
Bai : This
picturesque bay,
surrounded by majestic
cliffs and hills, offers
excellent diving with a
great variety of marine
life. White sandy bottom
and exceptionally clear
cool water.
Sanur
: A best time to
dive at Sanur will be
early morning due to
strong current but it is
good for dive courses
and general introduction
to Bali's underwater.
Sanur offers a good
variety of coral and
reef.
Tulamben
is a fun dive for all
types of divers. The
wreck is a U.S Liberty,
cargo ship that shank
during World War II. Now
it has an abundance of
coral, sponges, gorgonia,
schools of big eye
travelly fish and a wide
array of tame and
friendly fish.
