Starting point : Balikpapan / Kalimantan
Ending point : Pangkalanbun / Kalimantan
Day
01 : Balikpapan - Arrival (LD)
Upon
arrival at Balikpapan airport, meeting service and
directly transfer to check in at hotel. Then in the
afternoon take a short sightseeing in Balikpapan city.
Day
02 : Balikapapan - Pangkalanbun - Tanjung Puting (BLD)
After breakfast at hotel,
transfer to the airport to catch flight leaving for
Pangkalanbun (flight operates only every monday,
wednessday, friday). Upon arrival at Iskandar airport of
Pangkalanbun, meeting service and transfer to Kumai
aboard the motorboat cruising up Sekonyer river. Along
the river you can enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna,
like birds, monkeys, gibbons, and other wonderful
creatures of Borneo. Overnight at Rimba Lodge
Day
03 : Tanjung Harapan - Pondok Tanggui - Camp Leakey (BLD)
Breakfast at Rimba Lodge, leave the lodge to visit
Pondok Tanggui an Orang Utan Rehabilitation center up
Sekonyer river, then proceed to Camp Leakey, research
and rehabilitation center of the Orang Utan. Trekking
through the tropical flora, afterwards return to Rimba
Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day
04 : Lodge - Camp Leakey - Kumai - Pangkalanbun (BLD)
After
breakfast at Rimba Lodge, visit Camp Leakey explore
mankind of birds, proboscis monkey, macaque, gibbon, the
afternoon cruise downstream to Kumai. Arrive in Kumai
direct transfer to Pangkalanbun for check - in hotel.
Meals and overnight at Thamrin Hotel or similar.
Day
05 : Pangkalanbun (B)
After breakfast at hotel, cruising down Sekonyer river
to Kumai. Arrive at Kumai direct transfer to the airport
for your onward flight. |
