Grao - The
Smoking River of Ranah Kemumu

Specification
Trekking up to the Ranah Kemumu has always been our
favorite runaway . Easy walking trek across the jungle
, tailored to family or groups of folks. Beautiful
village, local farm of the famous Cinnamon, fresh
vegetables, cool breezing mountain air. Taking one day
walking up to the Grao, a local name for a hot-spring,
especially in this area is Grao Matahari , one sulphur-rich
hot-spring locates right in the middle of rapid
draining rocky river, canopied by tall trees, mixing
and heating up the stream.
This is where you shall see
hot steaming whitewater and which sometimes may burst
up to 15 meters high, engined by shallow hydrothermal
system, chanelled up way by fault. Some tourists just
spent the whole day bathing on the the hot flowing
water, and some may explore the jungle surround the
hot-spring. We will provide nice outdoor facilities
for family with kids here. Also not to forget, we
promise you that the night scene will nearly beat an
orchestra.

Day 01 :
Jambi - Arrival
Upon your arrival at Jambi Airport, our local
representative will meet and greet your at the
airport, then transfer to your hotel in Jambi. In the
afternoon visit Batik village. Dinner and overnight at
your hotel.
Day 02 : Jambi -
Ranah Kemumu Jangkat
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to
Ranah Kemumu Jangkat ( 10
hours driving ), with enroute view the stunning view of Jambi
landscape. Stay overnight
at local
home stay, a very chilling place , cool fresh air
glowing down the slope of Masurai, enjoy their
traditional food, and of course their hospitality.
Day 03 : Matahari Grao
Hiking to the Matahari Grao, pull out your
camera along the 3 hours easy walk, because you will
see magnificent floras along the way. Set up a tent
just on the river side, and just jump into the spa,
and let the nature do the rest We will stay overnight
here.
Day 04 : Matahari
Grao - Matahari Ranah Kemumu
Spend half day walking around the jungle and
try to explore for wild orchid for your camera only,
and after lunch hike down back to ranah Kemumu village
Stay overnight in local home stay
Day 05 : Depati Empat
After breakfast, grab your daypack, as we
will go to see Lake Depati Empat, an 4 hours walk, and
stay for one night just near by the lake. Fishing and
canoeing can be of your choice here. We will stay
overnight on our tent or local hut.
Day 06 : Depati
Empat - Ranah Kemumu - Jambi
Return to Ranah Kemumu proceed drive to Jambi. Arrive in Jambi
check in at hotel. All meals provided.
Day 07 : Jambi - Departure
Depart Jambi by second flight of the day.
