Flight from selected cities in Indonesia
There are only few direct access to Papua - the most eastern
province of Indonesia. Numbers of domestic airlines servicing
regular flight in to West Papua. Garuda Airways, Merpati Nusantara
Airlines and other private airlines provide a well schedule for
Timika, Jayapura, Sorong and Biak.
Garuda
flies from Jakarta with short transit in Bali before an early
morning flight to Timika, Jayapura and Biak. While Merpati
airlines does the flight from Makassar to Biak and Jayapura.

- from Jayapura to Wamena (Baliem Valley) : there are
regular flight service by TRIGANA
airlines from Jayapura to Wamena
- from Wamena to Yali, Angguruk, Agats : there are private
small aircraft that available for
charter include missionary aircraft. (You will
need to request long before travel date).
- Biak to Sorong : Merpati airlines provide regular flight
from Biak to Sorong or VV

Pelni company provide regular passengers ship call on several
ports on Papua. Beside this public transportation, local boat
transportations are also available on regular schedule or based on
private charter.
